Spring steel is a new material to the radio-controlled car industry. This T-shaped part helps make up the intricate suspension system used in highly competitive racing cars. The flex of the steel serves as an effective shock absorber, allowing the tires to maintain better contact with the surface. Spring steel is also used for shims or spacers, like the part on the left.
